CrewApprovals
When your Chief of Staff or an agent wants to do something risky, Crew stops and shows a card in the conversation. The same request is listed in your Inbox. Nothing runs until you answer.
Your answers
- Allow Once (⌘↩): allows this one request.
- Always Allow (⌥⌘↩): allows this kind of request for the rest of the conversation. Crew asks you to confirm first.
- Deny…: refuses it, with an optional note that tells the agent why. On a paired Mac, Esc denies at once; otherwise Esc stops the turn.
Talk › Allow Tool Request (⌘↩) does the same as Allow Once. Some cards show a Recommended answer; the choice is still yours.
Only you can allow
Crew is built to count an Allow only when you click or press a key on this Mac yourself, and to refuse one sent by a script, another app or Screen Sharing. Deny always works. With VoiceOver on, Allow also asks for Touch ID or your Mac password.
To allow requests, this Mac needs to be paired. Until then, risky steps can only be declined.
Taking back an Always Allow
In the Talk menu, open Always-Allow Rules and choose Revoke next to the rule. The menu appears once you have a rule.
Notifications
Crew’s notifications show the conversation’s name and what happened, never what was said. Click one to open that conversation.
