Glance

Glance was the first card in the widget column that shipped in 0.2.5: the day's shipped count, the Crew build on your Mac, Pulse's activity and what needs you, in one card. In 0.2.8 the canvas became the only layout and the column was removed; since 0.2.9 the canvas uses a new widget set, which has no Glance card. The same readings are now in these places.

Shipped to your Mac today

The Shipping widget answers “Is stuff shipping?”. Its headline is the number shipped to your Mac today, with what is on the way and any failing check.

The count means items that first reached your Mac today. Rebuilding the same items does not count them again. A reopened fix counts when its new reopen entry reaches your Mac. It is not a count of commits, reviews or builds. See Shipped to your Mac today for the definition and why arrival is different from your confirmation that a fix works.

What needs you

The Today widget answers “What needs me today?”, with your open asks and one-tap answers. See Needs you.

The version on your Mac

Choose Crew › About Crew to see the running version. Its Details line shows the build. That comes from the app you are using, not the next planned release.

Readings you can trust

A number Crew cannot read is shown as unknown, never as a made-up zero. Each widget shows where its numbers come from and how fresh they are.
