CrewFocus dials
Focus dials let you split your crew's effort across your companies. They also show one number, Full force, for how much of your crew is working on your goals.
Turning it on
Whether Focus dials is on shows in Settings › Features. If that pane lists it, you can turn it on there; the change applies when Crew on this Mac next starts. If the pane says Crew on this Mac doesn't list its features yet, focus dials aren't switched on in your version.
While it's off, the Focus tab of the Crew health widget works as it always has. It shows its verdict (On plan, Drifting or Off plan) with On goal and On building. You won't see dials or a Full force line.
Where to find it
Focus dials live on the Focus tab of the Crew health widget. At the medium size it shows dials for up to four companies; at the large size, up to eight.
Full force
Full force 72% means 72% of the threads that have room are working on an item from an active goal. If a goal sets a target, you see it beside the number, for example target 80%, or below target 80% when you're under it. The large size also shows how many threads are on goal.
When Crew can't measure it, the tab says why instead of showing 0: No active goals, No threads with room or No thread source yet.
Move the dials
Each company has one dial, and the dials always add up to 100%. Drag one and the others give way in proportion. Crew saves the split when you let go. If it can't be saved, the dials go back to where they were and the tab says why, for example Only the founder sets focus. With VoiceOver, each dial moves in steps of 5%.
The Focus heading shows whose split is in use: Even split (the default), Yours until a time, or The Chief's until a time. Your Chief can set a split too, but only when you ask for one. A split lasts until its time, then the even split comes back.
Week focus
Week focus lets you set a target or milestone for the week and see how close you are. It is not switched on in this version yet.
