CrewCompany stages
A project's stage says where it is on the road: Idea, Setup, Build, Launch or Run. Separately, a company can be marked Parked.
Until 0.2.8, a company's row in the sidebar showed its stage, for example Parked. The sidebar is gone. The rooms row at the top of your dashboard shows what each room's crew is doing (such as Working or Needs you), not its stage.
Where the stage shows now
When project stages are on, a project's room has a line above its chat: the project's name, the five stages with the current one lit, then its CEO, north star and next milestone. A parked project's line is dimmed and says Parked. Studio has no stage line.
The line offers Add Launch widgets (named after the stage) when the room is missing that stage's widgets. It only adds; it never removes a widget. In the widget gallery, Suggested for your stage offers the same set.
Whether project stages are on shows in Settings › Features. If that pane lists them, you can turn them on there; if the pane says Crew on this Mac doesn't list its features yet, stages aren't switched on in your version.
Where the stage comes from
Crew works the stage out from what it already knows, first match wins:
- marked as launched → Run;
- a launch checklist → Launch;
- items in the project's plan → Build;
- a setup checklist or a north star → Setup;
- nothing yet → Idea.
Parked is its own mark. It never changes the stage.
Change a stage
There is no control in the app to change a stage yet. The stage moves on as the project gains a checklist, a plan or a north star. Opening a project's conversation doesn't change it.
